Using your iPhone camera to record reminder shots - where you parked your car, the cereal label, a document, and so on - is a natural task for Apple Photos. It’s handy and quick. Saves you from jotting down details. But it also clutters up your photo collection and over time, if you don’t clear them out, those utility shots become a nuisance that leads to photo overwhelm.

The thing is that those reminder photo ops usually pop up and need to be captured in a timely way. Opening up the camera and taking a quickie has always been the simplest option.
